Customising the Bottom Main Menu

Pin, reorder, and group the modules and tools you use most in the bottom menu, and control what each user role is offered.

Overview

The bottom menu is now a sticky, customizable bar. You can pin and order the modules and tools you use most, grouped as your role defines, with everything else one click away. Administrators decide per role which items are offered, in which default order and grouping, and whether users can rearrange their own bar ⤵

Using the Bottom Bar

The bar is fixed to the bottom edge of every screen at full width and stays in place while the page scrolls. From left to right, it contains:

  • Create — always the first item on the bar.

  • One tab per pinned module or tool, in your own order. Navigator starts as the first tab, but you can unpin, move, or group it.

  • Custom entities, shown as standalone tabs right after Projects. Approvals is pinned after Analytics when your role can open it.

  • Group tabs, such as Communication, Analytics, Archive, Tools, or a custom section. Hover a group tab to open a submenu with its pinned members.

  • More Tools, How To (only on screens with How-To content), and Support chat on the right side, followed by the Collapse handle.

NOTE: Modules that are not part of your plan show a lock. Clicking a locked Quotes or Projects tab opens the feature promotion window; locked tools do nothing when clicked.

NOTE: The archived screens are now named Archived Opportunities, Archived Leads, Archived Quotes, Archived Accounts, and Archived Contacts everywhere they appear.

Creating a Record From the Bar

Click Create on the left of the bar ⤵

Search for a record type in the Search record types... field, or pick one from your recently created record types, the available record types, or your custom entities.

Click the item to open its Create New dialogue.

Finding Modules and Tools With More Tools

Click More Tools on the right of the bar ⤵

Browse the columns — standalone items appear first, followed by one column per group. The sheet opens at the column holding your current screen, and you can scroll horizontally to see the rest.

To find an item quickly, type in the Search modules & tools... field. The sheet filters as you type.

Click an item, or one of your five most recently opened screens, to go there.

To close the sheet, click Close, click outside it, or click More Tools again. You return to the same screen.

NOTE: When your current screen is not pinned to the bar, no tab is selected and More Tools appears selected instead.

Customizing Your Bar

Click More Tools, then click Customize. In Customize bottom menu, drag rows up or down to change the order of your bar ⤵

Use the pin toggle to show or hide an item on the bar. Expand a group row to pin or unpin its members individually. Click Done. Your changes apply immediately.

You can also drag an item straight onto the bar. A drop slot shows where it will land, and a confirmation message tells you it has been pinned. Dragging a group member onto the bar adds it to that group’s tab, or creates the tab if it does not exist yet ⤵

To go back to your role’s default layout, click Reset to default in Customize bottom menu.

NOTE: The last tab on the bar cannot be unpinned, so the bar is never empty. If you do not see the Customize button, your administrator has turned off customization for your role.

Collapsing the Bar

Click the Collapse handle on the right of the bar, or drag it down. The bar is hidden and a small pill remains at the bottom of the screen.

To bring the bar back, click the pill or drag it up. Hovering the pill shows a preview of the bar.

Coevera remembers whether you keep the bar collapsed. Side panels such as Voyager AI, the Power Panel, and the record preview end at the top of the bar and never cover it.

NOTE: On smaller screens, tabs show icons only, with their names in tooltips, and scroll sideways when they do not fit.

Configuring the Bottom Menu for a Role

Administrators decide which items each role is offered, and whether users in that role can customize their bar.

Go to Administration → Units, Users and Roles and then the User Roles tab, select and open the role, and select Features → Navigation ⤵

Use the Default Access toggle on each row to offer or hide an item, or the master switch to turn all unlocked rows on or off at once.

Drag rows to set the default order, or use Move to to place an item in a different group. Click Add section to create a custom section ⤵

Select Users can customize the bar (reorder and pin) if users in this role should be able to change their own bar. Click Save in the User Role window.

Users see the changes after their next sign-in or browser reload. To replace every user’s bar with the role layout, click Reset users to role default and confirm.

NOTE: Rows whose source is turned off in Entities, Common Records, or Features → Tools appear locked and stay hidden in the app. Activities is always on, and the Archive group cannot be renamed or deleted.

NOTE: Existing roles and users keep what they see today. Customization starts unchecked, and every user starts from the role layout.

Adding a Navigation Description to a Custom Entity

When creating a custom entity, fill in the optional Navigation description field, up to 30 characters ⤵

Save the entity. The description appears under its name in More Tools and Create New. You can change the description later in the entity’s Settings, below Plural form.

How To and Explore Interactively

How To is now an icon in the bar, shown only on screens that have How-To content. Click it to open the videos, articles, e-books, and support options for the current screen.

Explore Interactively is now a small icon-only button that floats above the bar. It stays available when the bar is collapsed or a side panel is open ⤵

Minimized Emails and Notes

Minimized emails and notes now appear as two pills — Emails and Notes — floating above the bar, each showing how many windows are minimized ⤵

Click a pill to see its minimized windows. Click a row to restore that window, or click Discard to close it. To close all windows of that kind, click Discard all and confirm.
